ARTICLE I: NAME
The official name of the organization shall be "Hunt County G.O.P. Club," hereafter referred to as the "Club."
ARTICLE II: OBJECTIVES
Section 2.1 Objectives
The objectives of the Club shall be as follows:
Provide a forum to educate the community, teaching the principles of conservative government.
Provide information during primary and general election seasons to membership and others to grow an informed voter base, facilitating the election of conservative Republican candidates.
Grow a group within Hunt County that is committed to support and participate in the election of conservative Republican candidates.
Increase the number of registered conservative Republican voters in Hunt County.
Encourage greater voter participation of Republicans in the election process.
Exert a viable influence on local and State Republican policy and provide feedback on issues to our elected officials.
Section 2.2 Definitions
The Club defines a conservative Republican as one who believes in:

ARTICLE III: OFFICERS AND EXECUTIVE BOARD
Section 3.1 Officers
The officers of the Club will be President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Section 3.2 Executive Board
The Executive Board of the Club will consist of the Club President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and the immediate Club past President, who shall serve as an advisor to the Executive Board.
Section 3.3 Duties
Duties of President: Shall preside at all meetings of the Club and the Club Executive Board. The President shall appoint the chairman of all standing and special committees (excluding the nominating committee). With the approval of the Club Executive Board, the President may appoint a parliamentarian. The President shall serve ex officio to all committees, excluding the nominating committee. The President will obtain speakers for monthly meetings and have general supervision of the work of the Club.
Duties of Vice President: Shall perform the duties of President whenever the President is absent. Shall be an ex officio member of all committees excluding the nominating committee. The Vice President will ensure all members of the Club in good standing have a name tag and preside over meetings when the President is absent (though they may not make appointments purely based on absence).
Duties of Secretary: Shall keep factual and unbiased records of all business. Prepare correspondence and have custody of all records. Primary notification shall be by email. The Secretary shall protect member privacy and may not distribute membership lists without Executive Board consent.
Duties of Treasurer: Shall be custodian of all funds and pay all bills authorized by the President. Expenditures over $100.00 require the President's signature. The Treasurer shall present reports to the Board and Club and is responsible for verifying voting eligibility.
Duties of Executive Board: Authority to transact necessary business between meetings and make policy recommendations. The Board has the authority to set the cost of dues by a two-thirds majority vote without amending the bylaws.
ARTICLE IV: COMMITTEES
Section 4.1 Standing Committees
The standing committees of the Club shall consist of:

Communication/Technology
Technology/Audio Visual
Section 4.2 Duties & 4.3 Chairs
Chairpersons are responsible for appointing committee members. The President may remove committee chairmen with a majority vote of the Executive Board.
ARTICLE V: MEMBERSHIP
Section 5.1 Regular Member
Any registered voter of Hunt County believing in the philosophy of the Republican Party is eligible.
Good Standing: Requires payment of dues and membership for 90 days to enjoy full privileges (including voting).
Dues: $40.00 per person or $60 per married couple, due January 1st.
Students: $10 per year for students under 25.
Delinquency: Status is revoked if dues are unpaid past February 28th.
Section 5.2 Associate Member
Non-voting members who support the Party but are not residents of Hunt County. Dues are the same as regular members.
Section 5.3 Honorary Member
The current State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) committeeman and committeewoman shall be given honorary membership.
ARTICLE VI: MEETINGS
Section 6.1 Regular Meetings
Held monthly on the third Monday. No less than six meetings shall be held annually.
Section 6.5 Quorum
Membership Meeting: 25% of members in good standing.
Executive Board: Three members present.
ARTICLE VII: POLICY
Section 7.1 Endorsements
The Club, Board, and Chairs acting in official capacities shall not endorse any candidate in a contested Hunt County Republican Primary election. Endorsements for the General election are permitted with majority Board approval.
ARTICLE VIII: NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS
Section 8.1 Nominations
A Nominations Committee of five members shall be established by August of odd-numbered years. Presidential nominees must have been active members for at least one (1) year.
Section 8.2 Elections
Elections are held at the October meeting in odd-numbered years. If contested, elections are held by secret ballot. Terms are for two years, beginning in January of even-numbered years.
ARTICLE IX: VACANCIES AND REMOVALS
Vacancies are filled by the Executive Board (except the Presidency, which is filled by the Vice President). Officials may be removed by a 2/3rd vote of members in good standing.
ARTICLE X & XI: AUTHORITY AND AMENDMENTS
Authority: Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised.
Amendments: Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of members in good standing present at a duly called meeting, following five days' email notice.
